Privacy Policy

PlayScript collects nothing about you, and it has no way to send anything anywhere. This page explains what that means concretely.

What is collected

Nothing. PlayScript gathers no personal information, no usage statistics, no diagnostics, no identifiers and no crash telemetry of its own. There is no account to create and no sign-in.

Network access

PlayScript does not connect to the internet. It contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and no third-party frameworks that could send data on its behalf. Your recordings and transcripts never leave your Mac through the app.

Your files

The app reads an audio file only after you have chosen it yourself, through the standard macOS open dialog or by dragging it in. Recordings are never copied: PlayScript stores a reference so it can reopen the same file next time, and macOS grants access to that one file and nothing else.

Transcripts you export are written only to the location you pick in the save dialog.

What stays on your Mac

Your projects — the transcript text, the reference to the audio file, the playback position and speed — are stored in the app's own folder in your Library. Your preferences, such as rewind and skip durations and the interface language, are stored alongside other app settings on your Mac. Both are removed when you delete the app and its data.

Children

PlayScript is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, children included.

Third parties

No data is shared with anyone, because none is gathered. The app uses no third-party services or software development kits.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever gains a feature that changes any of the above, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change with it.
