Transcribe audio by hand, fast.
PlayScript puts an audio player and a plain-text editor in a single window, so your hands never leave the keyboard. Everything happens on your Mac — no account, no upload, no internet connection.
What it does
- Player and editor side by side, for MP3, M4A/AAC, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, ALAC and CAF
- Auto-rewind on pause, so you always restart a couple of seconds before you stopped
- Speed control from 0.5× to 2× that keeps the pitch natural
- Clickable
[hh:mm:ss]timestamps — press ⌘J to insert one, click it to jump back - Autosave, with the text, playback position and speed restored when you reopen a project
- Export to .txt or .md, with or without timestamps
- English and Turkish interface

Requirements
macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later, on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
Your recordings stay with you. PlayScript has no network access at all. Audio is never copied or uploaded, and transcripts are written only where you tell them to go. See the privacy policy.
